I'm excited to have joined this new writing platform. I love LiveJournal, and have used it since the early 2000's, but I just recently found out about dreamwidth and wanted to give it a try.
A little about me: My name is Nikki. I am 30 years old, married, and have 3 children. My husband and I have been married for almost 9 years. I homeschool my 2 oldest kids (almost 9, and 7), and also plan to do the same with my youngest (just turned 3). I use my journals to update about my daily life, struggles, thoughts, dreams, and to work on my new found writing passion. I would consider journaling a hobby that I really enjoy doing. I love to make new friends and read about their lives through their journals and try to comment frequently.
I am also a newbie in an awesome competitive writing community called ljidol. It was just by chance that I signed up to join before the new season began about 6 weeks ago. Writers are eliminated weekly through a public voting poll. I will be posting links to my entries here so whoever wants to can vote every week. I'm really surprised that I have made it this far. And I am enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I am not a writer by any means but it has really opened me up to creative thinking and I use it as a form of therapeutic exercise now.
If you're reading this I hope to become friends!
